Kathrin Zöller has studied English, and American and German literature at the University of Würzburg. Early in her college career she focused on American Studies. To experience American Culture first-hand, she spent two separate years at American universities, at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, in 1999, and the State University of New York at Albany (as assistant teacher) in 2004. In Germany she graduated from the University of Würzburg with an MA in 2003 and took the state teacher exam (Staatsexamen) in 2006. Kathrin is currently holding the position of an assistant professor at the University of Würzburg where she is also working on her PhD thesis on “Political Perspectives in North American Women’s Poetry.” Outside school and the workplace, she likes to listen to music, play the guitar, write poetry, and play soccer.
