Ronaldo Conte

I come from Brazil, where I obtained a licentiate degree in Letras—Linguistics, Literature, and Education—from the Federal University of Paraná. After spending some years teaching English and working in administrative jobs, I applied for the American Studies MA program at Leipzig University in search of personal and professional development. So far, the program has been a refreshing academic experience, allowing me to pursue my interests in cultural representations of race, class, and social institutions. While my main focus remains in literary studies, I also want to gain broader knowledge of theory, US culture and politics, and transnational history.
