Andrea Álvarez

After finishing her BA in American Studies at Leipzig University, Andrea decided to continue at ASL for the MA program. Born and raised in El Salvador, her research focus lies on contemporary Latino media in the US, on animated media, and on explorations of Internet history. When she's not busy exploring latinidad or iconic moments from the history of YouTube, she likes to sketch out comics and develop children's book illustrations.
