After pursuing an Art History program and working in theaters and venues of various sizes, Valérie moved into the BA program at ASL to deepen her knowledge of literature and (popular) culture. Following a thesis on the dangerous flesh of David Cronenberg's cinema, she decided to pursue the American Studies MA program at Leipzig University to dive further into studying questions and ideas of embodiment, sex and danger in a US American context. She is passionate about creative and commercial writing and will gladly play the synthesizer in your post punk project. When she is not immersed in academia, writing, or music, Valérie is likely found foraging somewhere in the woods or enjoying a horrible movie.
