Jara Cebeci

After earning her bachelor’s degree in American Studies at Leipzig University, Jara decided to stay in academia and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in the same field. Her research interests include postcolonialism and film studies, with a specific focus on Orientalism and science fiction. However, she anticipates developing new interests during her studies.

Outside of her academic pursuits, when she’s not engrossed in readings or working on assignments and term papers, she enjoys rewatching her favorite sci-fi movies repeatedly and eagerly counts down the days until the release of new Star Wars and Dune movies.
