Louisa Büsken double-majors in English/American Studies and Social Sciences and minors in Pedagogy at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and she is currently finishing her state examination thesis on the topic of critical-emancipatory approaches to education for sustainable development in the Anthropocene. Among her scholarly interests are the Anthropocene in literature and culture, ecocriticism, postcolonialism, and education for sustainable development. Upon graduating from FSU Jena in March of 2024, she will intern in the field of personnel and organizational development based on her long-standing passion for sociopolitical issues such as gender equality, diversity, and environmental concerns. Outside of university, she enjoys alpine hiking and is a keen reader of dystopias and science fiction.
